About us

HomeAid West Lothian is a non-profit, volunteer organisation that accepts donations of furniture and white goods which are then sold to the public at its Bathgate store or provided to homeless people taking up tenancies. We refurbish white goods and export old furniture that can’t find a home in the UK.

We also provide replacement items to people on low income who don’t have the funds to buy new, helping to prevent individuals from getting into debt. As well as recycling used furniture, we support members of the West Lothian community who face social and economic exclusion.

Our shop is open to the public from Mon-Fri 10am-4pm.

HomeAid West Lothian was established in 1996. The service we provide is in tune with the National Waste Strategy Scotland and West Lothian Council’s Homeless Strategies and complements the work of Social Work practise teams. If we can’t reuse something, we always recycle it wherever possible.
